Shoppa’s Material Handling was the proud forklift sponsor of CANstruction Dallas 2018, held this year from Sept. 8-23. Four Toyota forklifts were donated for use throughout the event.
This year, Shoppa’s helped 24 teams of architects, designers, engineers and construction company personnel move around roughly 120,000 cans of food which the teams then used to create fantastic, giant-sized structures with a theme of “Oh the places we can go” – a spinoff from the classic Dr. Seuss book “Oh, the places you’ll go.”
Shoppa’s Material Handling is excited to announce the addition of Jeff Moncrief as Corporate Parts Manager.
Shoppa’s Material Handling is pleased to welcome Mike Wenske as Operations Manager in Odessa. Mike comes to Shoppa’s from many years of experience in leadership. His last positions included Operations Manager for Cisco Equipment, General Manager for Custom Truck and Equipment and Territory Manager for IronPlanet.
Shoppa’s Supports Forklift Safety
The Industrial Truck Association is sponsoring its 5th annual National Forklift Safety Day on June 12, 2018. OSHA’s statistics concerning forklift accidents and fatalities are troubling, and Shoppa’s and Toyota are strong supporters of initiatives to promote awareness of safe forklift operating procedures. There are many steps everyone from owners down to employees can take to make the workplace safer. Safety should be everybody’s top concern – everybody wants to go home after their shift.
Recently, Shoppa’s Material Handling and Shoppa’s Mid America were honored when four of their service techs received Platinum status at the 2018 Toyota Top Tech Challenge. Two of those four earned high enough scores to qualify them to be part of an elite team of 10 Platinum winners who advanced to the Technician Skills Challenge.
