Tire maintenance can be one of the most important factors of your forklift operations. Forklift tires cushion the operator, load and truck itself, which makes the condition they are in critical to forklift performance and safety.

Tires can seriously damage a forklift and the efficiency of the unit. Worn or improperly maintained tires can cause damage especially to the steer and drive axles of a forklift. When your equipment isn’t running at peak performance it can also cause the lifespan of a forklift to decrease and could even cause potential damage to docks and floor and could place safety hazards on operators and warehouse facilities.

Some major signs to look for when looking for tire wear are:

  • Simple wear patterns on the tire and it’s tread
  • Chinking and cracks
  • Flat spots
  • Tearing
  • Balding
  • Cuts
  • Inflation

At Shoppa’s we offer a wide-range of industrial grade cushion and pneumatic tires to meet your forklift fleet needs. Keeping well-maintained tires can increase efficiency, safety and lifespan of forklifts. With a variety of sizes and specifications, Shoppa’s has solutions for worn tires.

Don’t let bad tires cause issues to your forklift fleet. Contact the nearest Shoppa’s location to learn more about how our tire services can keep your fleet up and running in the expected good condition that you need them in.
