Shoppa’s Material Handling is proud to participate in National Forklift Safety Day this June 11. Founded and sponsored by the Industrial Truck Association (ICA) NFSD promotes and brings awareness to the importance of keeping safety in all operations as the number one prerogative.
Shoppa’s Material Handling recognizes the fourth annual National Forklift Safety Day, an event that educates customers, government officials and policymakers about the importance of proper operator training and the safe use of forklifts.
Sponsored by the Industrial Truck Association (ITA), this event will take place Tuesday, June 13, in Washington, D.C., along with other manufacturers and industrial companies. Forklift dealers, distributors and manufacturers around the country will also hold local events promoting forklift safety that day.
Shoppa’s stays very busy reducing operational costs and increasing productivity for their customers. But on National Forklift Safety Day, it gives Shoppa’s the opportunity to take a step back and highlight the safe use of forklifts and the importance of operator training.
National Forklift Safety Day is an event sponsored by the Industrial Truck Association held once a year. Its intent is to provide the material handling industry the opportunity to educate customers about safe forklift operation.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, from 2011 to 2014, 261 workers were killed in forklift accidents, where the industrial truck was the primary cause.
We want our customers to take precautions for the possible dangers when operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. To facilitate this, we offer professional operator training courses.
Shoppa’s Material Handling and Toyota Industrial Equipment know the true value of forklift safety in keeping operators and employees safe at all times.
