Charities We Serve
For more than 20 years, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has been a global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research and community-based outreach programs. Working through a network of U.S. and international Affiliates and events like the Komen Race for the Cure®, the Komen Foundation is fighting to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by funding research grants and supporting education, screening and treatment projects in communities around the world.
The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a hunger-relief organization that focuses on providing children, seniors and families access to nutritious foods. Through their network of nearly 500 food pantries and other community organizations, their direct feeding programs, and the help of their dedicated volunteers, we distribute more than 375,000 meals each day and about 2 million pounds per week for North Texans facing hunger. The Food Bank serves 13 counties: Collin, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Hopkins, Hunt, Kaufman, Lamar, Navarro, and Rockwall.
The American Red Cross of North Texas serves a population of over 9 million people across 121 counties in some of the state’s most geographically and weather-diverse landscapes.
Their compassionate volunteers care for and support their friends and neighbors who face the worst moments of their lives due to disasters.
Their mission at the Red Cross empowers people to become survivors. Through trainings and reinforcing preparedness steps, knowledge becomes action and action saves lives.
For 30 years, the CEC has been a partner in change for their Northeast Tarrant low-income neighbors. The CEC has continued to grow and expand their services to assist and empower victims of family violence, homeless and low-income families and seniors across Tarrant County. Today, the CEC works directly with these families and individuals to move them out of crisis and into stability through employment readiness, high school equivalency, financial coaching, safe housing, food and basic necessities. These tools and Christ-centered resources help the CEC coaching staff to restore hope and share God’s love while guiding families toward a bright future which will end their cycle of poverty and/or family violence.
The Lymphoma Research Foundation’s mission is to eradicate lymphoma and serve those touched by this disease. LRF is the nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to funding lymphoma research and supporting the lymphoma community through evidence-based education, support services, and resources.
Mission Arlington®/Mission Metroplex® is a faith-based, non-profit 501- (c) (3) organization which utilizes thousands of volunteers and a multitude of services to assist people with their physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual needs.
United Way of Tarrant county is an independent nonprofit that bring together people and organizations to focus on innovative solutions to local challenges. Together, United Way and their partners positively impacts the lives of millions each year and strive to go beyond a temporary fix by focusing on lasting, systemic change. As part of a network of nearly 1,800 United Way organizations around the world—including over 80 United Ways in Texas—our local impact is part of global change as well.
The Gatehouse in Grapevine is a supportive living community that is designed for mothers with children experiencing hardships to become self-sufficient and thrive independently. At the Gatehouse, new paths of opportunity are created for women in crisis to seek freedom of the past and hope for the future.
